RV Rental Models & TypesRV Rentals
What is an RV?RV is an acronym for Recreational Vehicle. Synonyms for RV are Motorhome, Camper and Trailer. RVs are comfortable methods of road travel and transportation. They usually contain all the comforts of home like beds, showers, bathrooms, kitchens and televisions. RVs are usually parked in specially equipped campgrounds (a.k.a: campsites) called RV parks where utility hookups are provided. The greatest thing about traveling in an RV is the freedom to tour a large geographic area without worrying about lodgings. What types of RVs are there? The most popular RVs are motorized and can be driven from campsite to campsite. These are your Class A Motorhomes, Class B Camper Vans and Class C Mini-motorhomes which range in size and luxury. The A type Motorhome is typically the most desirable, luxurious and expensive.Towable RVs are designed to be towed behind a car or truck and typically open up to create a tent at the campground. These are called Folding Camping Trailers, Travel Trailers and Fifth-Wheel Travel Trailers (5th Wheel). Some RVs are parked for seasonal use and function like a cottage. They are not designed to be towed frequently and are referred to as Park Model Trailers and Park Model Recreational Units.
What RV rental models are available? Most vacationers prefer to rent a motorized vehicle, therefore, the Class A, B and C Motorhomes are the most popular rental units. Other models typically available for rent are the Towable Travel Trailer and the 5th Wheel. What dealers provide RV rentals? The best way to determine who and where to rent an RV from is to check the Motorhome Directory’s RV Rental category for dealer locations nearest your departure point. Phone, fax or email your questions to a dealer and ask for a free rental quote. Keep in mind that almost all dealers require a rental deposit, a portion of which (or all of which) is usually non-refundable.
